Mature vs. Old

Mature vs. Old

Isaiah 12:3-5, Psalm 12:1, Psalm 33, Proverbs 18:20, Romans 6:7-8, 1Corinthians 15:33; 57-58

At first glance you may see an old man or woman but in the spirit realm they are only as mature as their spiritual development. The real age of a person is not revealed until they speak. You can tell by what comes out of a person’s mouth. Are their words full of their confidence, belief, and strength in Lord? If Jesus is not Lord over your tongue He is not Lord at all.

Our words must agree with what God says. It is not humble or sincere to say things like, “I’m not perfect”, or “I’m just human.” God actually see’s you having the perfection of Christ. This is of course a description of your inner-man. It was made perfect when you received salvation. The transformation of your outer man is a process. The change works through and becomes evident in your words.

Do you think your words are a big deal? God says that we have the power of life and death in our tongues. As we mature we do not speak both blessing and cursing. This reflects a double-minded man. An unwavering mind must say what God says.

Your words can undermine your life simply by speaking unbelief, doubt, and fear. When your heart releases this kind of thinking you give the enemy access into your life. Anything you don’t mean you shouldn’t speak. Have you heard statements like, “I don’t know how I’ll make it?,” or “I’d just die if that happened to me”?

Whatever has occurred in the past or even 2 minutes before now does not have to be spoken into your future. You will have what you say. What you say is a spiritual law for everyone, believers and non-believers. But when you are sealed with the Holy Spirit your words can carry God’s power and fulfill the desires of His heart for you.

You will be tempted when there is darkness around and storms come but that’s when the believer is strong. It’s a matter of life and death! This is the time the enemy wants your mind as his playground. If someone wants to agree with doom and gloom then you don’t want to talk the mature believer!

How did you receive salvation? By confessing with your mouth. Salvation means saved but it means much more. And It’s more than just confessing sin. We don’t stop there! We believe in our heart and confess with our mouth throughout our daily lives what God has done, is doing, and will do for us! This is what the Bible is all about.

To mock this is to mock God, the Bible, and Jesus the Word made flesh.

Are your lips your own? If you begin statements with, “I just believe that…”, “I think that…”, or “I just can’t buy into all that…” then you are believing in something other than the Bible. If you are a Christian you are to believe what the Bible says, and what God has shown you.

When a situation hits your life it will matter what you believe about this. God needs you to give Him access into your life through the words you speak. He has set it up this way. It is how He operates. You were created in His image.

This is how to operate in your dominion over the earth.

You will be tempted to speak in agreement with darkness but you are able to bite your lip. Only believe. No matter what you hear you must be confident that God is on the throne and that somehow victory is near. You can be confident that you already have a testimony and that you will be testifying to God’s goodness before it fully manifests.

You don’t crumble, freak out, or take the Lord’s name in vain.

We speak life, truth, and victory! Faith is precious, it is a treasure. Walk around saying, “Every time that happens something better comes my way,” or “I am always at the right place at the right time.” You have been set up for favor and will come out blessed every time!

This is how you put the devil out, he hates this! You give him no place just like Jesus gave him nothing. You were made to imitate God.

-This is victory!
